War is different sides fighting for a different cause, and willing to expend money, resources, and lives to accomplish victory.
War can be a fight for land, rights, or money, or the mass loss of lives. What we don't realize is that for every single death on the battlefield, a mother, or child, or spouse all of a sudden lost someone who meant everything to them, and will never see them again. Regardless of what we think about war, it happens all over the world, all the time, and is seen as normal in many nations. War changes us by taking away lives, giving us a more profound appreciation for peace, and teaching the horrors of war, and why we should strive to avoid it.
